FLOW 93.5 AND THE FOUNDATION TO ASSIST CANADIAN TALENT
ON RECORDS (FACTOR)
WORK TOGETHER TO SUPPORT CANADA'S URBAN MUSIC
INDUSTRY
FLOW 93.5 FM is proud to support FACTOR, which provides much-needed
resources to help launch the careers of some of Canada's top urban
artists!
As part of its continued commitment to developing Canadian artists,
FLOW 93.5 has joined forces with FACTOR
to enlighten Toronto's urban music community about the programs and
services offered by FACTOR, The Foundation to Assist
Canadian Talent on Records. FLOW 93.5 and FACTOR
recently launched an awareness campaign to help more urban artists
take advantage of this program. The campaign features public service
announcements by successful artists such as Ray Robinson,
Jully Black, Gary Beals, Michie
Mee, and JUNO-award winners In Essence,
all of whom have benefited from marketing, music production and showcase
support from FACTOR.
With the support of Canada's private broadcasters (including FLOW
93.5) and the Ministry of Canadian Heritage, FACTOR
provides more than $12 million annually to support the Canadian
music industry.
"It is very important for us to have open dialogue with members
of the music industry whom we exist to serve." says FACTOR
President Heather Ostertag. "FLOW 93.5
was the ideal partner for us to work with on this initiative, because
they helped us reach the urban music community in a way that we
never could have done on our own. We thank them for their foresight
in initiating this awareness campaign."
